the venue's position was secluded. the restaurant here was reasonably priced for a culinary dinner, we both ordered hot dishes.

This is the second time we have been to Terworm. Last year we had a very nice room in the buildings around the castle courtyard and this year we stayed in the castle itself. The rooms are very stylishly furnished with old furniture. In our otherwise very nice room with a view into the castle garden a disturbing background noise of the ventilation system could not be reduced for a short time. We got an upgrade and another room from the hotel. The breakfast is absolutely top class, from the atmosphere in the historical ambience of the restaurant rooms with a view of the park, to the quality and richness of the food offered at the buffet, the freshly squeezed orange juice and the absolutely discreet, courteous and friendly manner of the hotel staff. Restaurant and chef have a very good reputation and we have decided to have dinner at the hotel during our next stay. Kasteel Terworm is well situated between Aachen and Maastricht (about half an hour each), with very good transport connections and yet quiet and rural from its location.
But this is whining on a very high level :-) The cupboard furniture of the minibar and the hotel safe breaks a little bit with the otherwise very stylish historical furnishing of the rooms, a mural above the bathtub would be dispensable (of course this is personal taste), an open historical window opening between bedroom and bath we would provide sound-technically with a glass pane, the 2nd television set in the bedroom protrudes to a part into one of the window niches, the wiring belonging to it the former lord of the castle would have laid surely also more discreetly under plaster.

I always stay at a wonderful hotel in Heerlen that has everything I need - Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, a restaurant, and a fitness centre. The staff even helped me find a place with a good exchange rate. I can't wait to come back for Easter!
